These golden daffodils of CMS Chowk would indeed outdo any other organization with the power of their thought, the magic of their accomplishment and the charisma they inherit from their Principal, Mrs. Sadhana Bedi whose guidance leads them on towards one goal after another. Be it science, technology, astronomy, mathematics, quizzing or robotics, CMS Chowk has taken wondrous strides ahead paving the way for generations to come. Former President of India, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam took time off to come especially and inaugurate the Robotics lab of the Branch set up in the guidance and supervision of Mr. A.S. Bedi.
Quanta International the name resounds in our memory clicking alive many a memorable moment when friends from Pakistan, U.K., USA, Canada, Finland, Romania, Slovakia, Russia and several other countries gathered together to explore the mysteries of science and students complete in an array of exciting competitions based on science, mathematics, computers and astronomy close on its heels is the ever popular Astronomy school conducted by the Branch in which renowned astronomers delivered lectures on astronomical topics and students observed planets through a powerful telescope in the guidance of renowned astronomers. CMS Chowk itself is like a bright sky full of luminous stars twinkling in their own light. Some of the achievers are: Ashish Pawar – Winner of Bronze Medal at 1st International Robotic Olympiad, Glasgow, U.K. in 1990. Mohd. Tahseen Ameen - Winner of Gold, Silver and Bronze medal at the II International Robotic Olympiad Canada, April 1993. Julie Mehrotra – Winner of Gold medal and the most promising Roboticist award at the III International Robotics Olympiad held in Canada, March 1994. Rohit Tandon: Winner of Gold Medal at the IV International Beam games held at Santa Fe, U.S.A. in May, 1995. Diwakar Shukla, Yousuf Fouzan, Jayesh Raj, Vaibhav Pankaj, Deovrat Shukla - Winners of the world championship at the VI International Beam Robotic Games, Canada, 2000. Qaim Rizvi - Won the first prize at the International Conference of Young Scientist in Poland. Prakhar Mehrotra - Awarded the Rajiv Gandhi science award in 2005 by JNCASR Banglore and Department of science and Technology, Govt. of India secured Surge fellowship – IIT-K in collaboration with Caltech. Pursuing MS Aeronautics at California Institute of Technology, U.S.A. (Caltech). Dev Sharma – Attended the European space com 2007, 2nd highest rank in India. Ankit Mishra - Working as consultant at Mekeney International – Gurgaon awarded with President's Gold Medal for outstanding performance and leadership qualities at IIT Kanpur in 2008. Diwakar Shukla - MIT – U.S.A. – Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering. Rajiv Kumar Singh – Worked as doctor in AIIMS and presently D.S.P. in U.P. Cadre. Anurodh Srivastava - Mechanical Engineer in BEARS – USA.
The branch has all the facilities for full growth and development of students. It is like an ocean of knowledge. In games and sports also, the students have been making their mark especially in basketball, swimming, hockey and football. With a strength of 3015 students on roll, CMS Chowk is thriving with energy and enthusiasm and Mrs Bedi and her staff are a well knit family that make education a living force that gives spiritual energy to the student, apart from subject knowledge, thus empowering the children with confidence, creativity, resourcefulness, originality, values and a dynamism to face the challenges of life.
