Principal, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus III

'Those who educate children well are more to be honoured than parents, for these only gave life, those, the art of living." — Aristotle

A random opinion poll drives home the concept that the teacher is irreplaceable inspite of technology invading the classroom because they are the invigorating forces of transformation that plant seeds of knowledge which grow forever!

The teaching job has of late, become highly difficult and complex! Teachers have to face the fast growing section of students with a tinge of aggression, negative attitudes and rude behaviour and hence have to handle such students with great restraint and resilience. They need to use positive reinforcement to discipline the recalcitrant students.

Here comes the role of parents and the new age parenting requires decisions about how we want our children to be nurtured. While parenting is a source of great pleasure and self fulfillment, it is a complex process which has more responsibilities than merely giving birth to new life. We believe that parents have an undisputable role in impacting and ensuring the development of a well rounded personality. The school and the home can help in building the concentration and developing the hidden potentialities of the child. I am glad that the teachers of CMS Rajendra Nagar (III) have been able to involve the parents in bringing about a positive change in children and help them excel in studies by providing individual attention to the children.

The teacher-guardian system followed by the school has upgraded the role of a teacher to the role of a counsellor as well. We have completed this session successfully and conducted the international Reflections, a festival of History and Civics this year which was a stupendous success with the help of my dedicated staff, students and parents. I take this opportunity to thank the management for their constant support, the Head of Quality Assurance and Innovations Department, Mrs Susmita Basu for her cooperation and guidance, the Chief Operating Officer, Dr Geeta Gandhi Kingdon for constantly motivating and supporting us in our endeavours. I am grateful to the parents for the trust they have in us and I am sure that with their support we will surg ahead and scale new heights of success.
