CMS Mahanagar (Old Building) Branch

A brief history of CMS MN(Old Building)

The Mahanagar branch was established in 1959 Mrs. Sarla Govil took over as Principal in 1964 from Ms. Padma Joshi. Then the strength was 250 students. Previously we had classes from Montessori to 7th and the medium of instruction was Hindi only. After few years our branch got recognition from the U.P. Board and our 1st batch passed out in the year 1974 with flying colours.
Today our branch has progressed rapidly and grew to become an ICSE branch and now we have full full fledged ICSE classes and the 1st batch passed out in the year 2000. At present the strength of our branch is 2108 students.
Our branch organised the 1st International Literacy fest "Odyssey" in the year 2003. The forthcoming event "Odyssey" will be held in the year 2005.

Message from the Principal
CMS Mahanagar, caters to the educational requirements of an enlightened population deeply interested in providing the highest quality of educational for their children. Our students have not only performed well academically but have also won laurel in the field of sports and co-curricular activities.
Our branch aims at preparing the children to face the complex problems of the world by developing their sense of responsibility by the theoretical and practical teaching of moral values and by making them aware to other religions and cultures.

In a world that is increasingly being torn by strife and violence CMS emphasis on inculcation of moral value and spiritual awareness in students so that they can go out in the world and spread the ideals of universal brotherhood in making the world a better place to live in for future generations.

We also strive to develop the personality of students by giving them maximum exposure in International events. Our branch made a landmark in successfully organizing the 4th international literary fest "Odyssey" in September 2008.

I would like to thank my staff for their support and cooperation in bringing out the best in our students under the most challenging situations.

I thank my guardians for their whole hearted support and encouragement in achieving our goals.
With kind regards,

Mrs. Nalini Sharadl
