Student Council members of CMS Kanpur Road Campus with the Principal, Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran

Head Boy and Head Girl speak

Hearts beating fast, heads held high and with honour oozing out, we were adorned with the badges and then we took a firm oath to live up to the expectations of our Principal, teachers and fellow students and make sure we protect the dignity of the badge and title that we carried by doing the utmost that we could. As they say, with great power comes great responsibility. So we took up the responsibility with utmost zeal.

We feel proud and glorious to report that this year has been the year of achievements. Respected Principal of the Branch, Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran was nominated as the Vice President of Association of Schools for Indian School Certificate 2010 and chosen as President of the Association in 2011.
The most important among the academic achievements was that the ISC wing of our branch was awarded the Best Branch among all CMS branches with Mrs Sumita Gulati being `declared as the best ISC teacher among all branches. In academics this was the 4th year in a row when all the ISC students passed with first division marks and 3 students Rishabh, Anuj and Shikhar were selected in NTSE 2009-2010.

Besides this, students excelled in science, maths and cyber olympiads and Pooja and Nirabhi won the first prize in Frank Anthony inter-school debate. In sports too, the year was glorious with the seniors bagging the championship of football and winning prizes in badminton, swimming and athletics competitions. Kumar Abhinav won gold medal in 3rd State Taekwondo Meet. (The juniors also excelled in athletics, table-tennis, badminton and swimming. Championship in Judo and Athletics was awarded to juniors and in UP State Swimming Competition, Mallaika Arora won first, second and third prizes in various events. Kartikey Pal and Mallaika Arora will be representing UP ASISC Swimming team at the National level and Mallaika Arora was the proud recipient of the state team which won the Overall Championship of girls category in swimming). The memories of the various events organized at our branch and by other branches in which we took part are deeply embedded in our minds to be cherished all through our lives.
