As we prepare to enter into a new year, it gives me great pleasure to greet you at the end of the present session and to present before you our astounding and brilliant achievements of the session 2011-2012.
The current session is one that is chequered with rewards and awards in academics and sports and fills the heart with a plethora of emotions. Emotions that bring pleasure and joy and a sense of great fulfillment and satisfaction. However, it also reminds one, that one should not only rest over one's laurels but also continue to move ahead till the good gets better and the better becomes the best. Victory acts as an impetus to keep up our endeavours to move on.
In the academic year 2010-2011 and again in 2011, I was elected President of the Association of Schools of ISC which was indeed a proud privilege and honour for me. In the academic field our students have proved our quest for excellence by performing extremely well in the ICSE and ISC Board Examinations 2011. This year 151 of our students scored more than 90% marks in the Board examinations and we were declared as the Best ISC Campus among all the CMS schools for having all students secured first Division marks for the fourth consecutive year. Anuva Agarwal of XII P brought laurels by qualifying for the Finals of the ASISC Creative Writing Contest by standing first at the Regional level Contest of ASISC UP & UK. In Zonal level Declamation Contest of ASISC, Snigdha Bajpai of Class X A was declared the Best Speaker. Accolades also came our way when three of our students from the junior section won the Memory Wizard title. Our students also won laurels at various International events QUEST, Reflections and International Extravaganza. A three member team also participated in International Science Fair at Busan, Korea (KSASF-2011). Besides this, our student team also participated successfully in the Second Quality Summit at Mauritius.
Our campus is also proud to have been the host and organizer of the International Chief Justices' Conference and the Annual Parents' Day which was spectacular. Open Day, New Parents Evening, Fete, Sports Day, CISV Camp, Divine Education Conferences, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and Model classes were enthusiastically celebrated by the campus.
I am grateful to the Almighty for his blessings showered upon us and to our Founder-Manager, Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi, Chief Operating Officer, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon, Hon. Chief Academic Advisor, Dr Sunita Gandhi and Head, Quality Assurance and Innovation Department, Mrs Susmita Basu for their constant guidance and motivation.
My sincere thanks are also due to all my staff and parents for their unflinching support and cooperation. It is due to their hard work and dedication that CMS Kanpur Road is scaling new heights every day. |
