8th International Astronomy School 2008 We are pleased to announce that City Montessori School, Chowk Branch is organizing another International Event in Astronomy. This is the Fifth International Astronomy School, which is scheduled from the 22nd to 25th November, 2008. This event is to be conducted immediately after QUANTA 2008, at the same venue. This Astronomy School is the sixth such event being organized at this venue. The first was organized in 2001 by the same Branch of CMS. The event comprises of Lectures by renowned Professors of Astronomy from all over the world, exciting Night Sky Observations (with state of the art, newly acquired telescopes of the school) which is followed by a simple test on the last day of the school. The test will comprise of questions directly related to the Lectures and Night Sky Observations only. Prizes and Certificates of Merit will be distributed on the basis of the results. All participants will be awarded Certificates of Participation. These certificates have international accreditation. Sightseeing tours to places of interest in and around Lucknow and shopping opportunities will be made available during the free time in this event. There is no registration fee for this event and the boarding and lodging of all participants during this event will also be free. We look forward to your reply and to hosting the team.
