Your Honour
On behalf of over 42,000 students of City Montessori School (CMS) — representing the world's over two billion children and generations yet-to-be-born — we take great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the 12th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (The World Judiciary Summit 2011) to be held from Friday, 9th December to Monday, 12th December 2011. There will also be an optional sight-seeing tour of Agra (The city of Taj Mahal) and Delhi on 7th and 8th of December 2011.
So far 405 Hon'ble Chief Justices, Judges and Heads of States from 95 countries have participated during past eleven Conferences. Detailed reports of the earlier eleven conferences are available on our school's website: www.cmseducation.org/article51.
The most powerful common denominator for all nations is their children, and it is imperative that their future be safeguarded. No nation can ignore it. You would kindly agree that it is our duty to bequeath to our children a better inheritance than that bequeathed to us.
Nobel Laureate Jan Tinbergen had said: "Mankind's problems can no longer be solved by national governments. What is needed is a World Government. This can best be achieved by strengthening the United Nations System." We value this view and other similar views and consider it expedient that, to address various issues that face humankind, there is urgent need for changes in global governance, for enforceable world law and for empowering the International Court of Justice as World Court with wider jurisdiction.
Today, international terrorism, lawlessness, global environmental degradation and danger of world war seriously threaten everyone without exception. It is therefore imperative to regulate international conduct, create an atmosphere of global unity and peace and to ensure a safe future for humanity, especially for over two billion children of the world and the generations yet to be born. In this regard, Article 51* of the Constitution of India acts as a beacon, as it provides for promoting international peace and security and for "respect for international law" [please refer to Article 51 on the right hand side above].
CMS (a senior secondary school) is recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest school by pupils in a single city with over 42,000 students and is the only school to have been awarded the year 2002 - UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. CMS upholds that 'School must act as a Lighthouse of Society' and must concern itself with the affairs of the age. Hence this initiative on children's behalf.
A highlight of the Conference will be the presentation of a petition to the World Judiciary by CMS students on behalf of world's children, to safeguard their future and for protection of their rights. We, therefore, earnestly look forward to your active participation in the Conference, to deliberate on the need for an improved world order.
The collective voice of the World Judiciary is bound to be taken with seriousness the world over and, as such, your participation is vital for the success of the Conference and for the cause for which it is being organized. We shall eagerly look forward to your acceptance of our invitation at the earliest.
With highest regards,
