In the recently announced results of the Civil Service Examinations (IAS), out of the candidates selected from Lucknow, the maximum number of seven are from City Montessori School. These include Garima Singh, Gaurav Singh, Ashutosh Singh, Rohit Shukla, Preeti Priyadarshini, Neelabh Saxena and Jahnvi Tewari. These students were specially honoured and felicitated by the Chief Minister of UP, Mr Akhilesh Yadav at a grand felicitation ceremony on May 10, 2012 organized under the aegis of CMS at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. In an informal interview, these CMS alumni said that Indian Administrative Service (IAS) provided ample opportunities to serve society, which inspired them to opt for civil services.
Rohit Shukla, who passed out ISC from CMS Kanpur Road campus in 2002 is very excited about the journey that he feels has just begun for him. After having qualified IAS examination he now wants to ensure clean and transparent administration and play his part in the national progress. After passing out of CMS Rohit has done B. Tech and worked as software engineer in Infosys Technologies Ltd. in Hyderabad. In his message to CMS students he said that they should have faith in their abilities and always think about society's benefit in whatever they do.
Garima Singh, year 2005 passout from CMS Gomti Nagar campus too dreams of being recognized as a creative, honest and dedicated civil servant. Garima has studied from class VIII to XII in CMS and has thereafter done BA (Hons) and MA in History from St. Stephens college, Delhi. Garima believes that with dedication, hardwork and positive mindset we can achieve anything in life.
Jahnvi Tewari, who passed ISC from CMS Kanpur Road campus in 2004 has done most of her schooling from CMS and serving the nation has been her first and foremost aim. According to her, she feel elated having been selected in IAS because no other service in the country offers such diverse scope for contribution in the progress of the nation. Jahnvi is an architect by profession and after graduating from Delhi's School of Planning and Architecture has worked with Delhi Development Authority. Jahnvi attributes her success to her alma mater City Montessori School as according to her CMS not only provides academic excellence but helps in overall development of the students and above all, motivates them for working for the cause of humanity.
Gaurav Singh from 2002 batch of CMS Station Road to has studied from Montessori to ISC in CMS. After passing out ISC from CMS Station Road he did B.Tech from Gorakhpur and has worked with Narcotics Department as Intelligence Officer. Gaurav too wants to work with utmost sincerity and dedication for all his future endeavours.
Neelabh Saxena of CMS Station Road has done B.Tech from Allahabad and after qualifying the Indian Engineering Services (IEC) has served Indian Railways. Neelabh attributes his success in IAS to his hard work, sincerity, dedication towards the goal and the blessings and support of his teachers and parents. He believes that as an IAS Officer he would be better able to serve the nation and contribute in its progress. Parents, relatives and siblings of other students selected in IAS too put forth their views on this occasion saying that besides being learned and hard working, CMS teachers are compassionate towards each of their students.
They also appreciated CMS Founder-Manager, Dr Jagdish Gandhi for being completely devoted towards the well being of his students. They said that with his ides Dr Gandhi has made the entire atmosphere of CMS so divine and inspiring that students feel driven towards the inspiration to do well both academically and socially. |
