Peace Floats for Teaching Peace

CMS pursues an extensive peace education programme aimed for the students, their parents and the public at large. Amongst the main peace tools for public education is the CMS Peace Float which is presented every year, for over a quarter of a century now, in the annual Republic Day Parade held on 26th January at Lucknow. All CMS Peace Floats are public education tools designed to inspire and educate people on the need for peace and the factors preventing it. The Peace Floats are avidly watched and appreciated by the multitude thronging the Parade route in Lucknow, as well as the millions who watch the spectacular display on television all over the state. 

In the last 27 years, CMS Floats have won the coveted Governor's Trophy for the Best Float of the Parade a record number of 21 times. The trophy is awarded to the best float selected from amongst all participating in the Parade on the basis of their thematic content and artistic merit. Needless to say, the theme of the CMS Floats, down the decades, has always reflected the school's commitment to World Unity and World Peace.
