Hon’ble Sir/Madam,
On behalf of over 32,000 students of City Montessori School (CMS)— representing world’s two billion children and generations yet-to-be-born — we take great pleasure in inviting you to address the 9th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World— The World Judiciary Summit 2008. The working sessions of the Conference will be held from Friday, 12th December to Monday, 15th December 2008. We, the over 32,000 students of City Montessori School, Lucknow, on behalf of World's two-billion children and generations yet unborn, beg to submit this appeal and hereby submit as follows:
1) That, the present world situation is grim owing to the stockpile of more than 36,000 nuclear, chemical and biological weapons capable of destroying the world several times over and also due to the problems of International terrorism, drug trafficking, conflicts between nations, global warming and ecological imbalance, alarming growth of deserts and .....

The
State shall endeavour to —
(a) promote international peace and security;
(b) maintain just and honourable relations between
nations;
(c) foster respect for international law and
(d) encourage settlement of international disputes
by arbitration.
Clause (c) of the above article refers to "fostering
respect for international law" but today
there is no legally constituted World Parliament
for enacting international laws which would
be enforceable on all the countries and peoples
of the world....

WHY A SCHOOL ? |

| In order to appreciate reply to the above question, it is necessary to first understand the philosophy, vision and mission of CMS.
Being the world’s only school to receive the '2002 UNESCO Prize for Peace Education' and recipient of the '2004 Nuclear-Free Future Special Achievement Award' and the 'World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the child' and listed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest school by pupils with a current enrollment of over 32,000 students, CMS sees itself as the self-appointed guardian of the rights and welfare of the world’s children and generations yet-to-be-born... |
