Honourable former chief justice of India Shri J S Verma. Shri J S Verma was just now here, but just before the presentation of mementoes he left as he had prior engagement. When Justice Verma came to attend this conference, he was three times garlanded by the City Montessori School in order to honour him. This garlanding was in affection and love of him on behalf of the 32,000 children of the City Montessori School.
Honourable Union minister of law and justice Shri Venkatapathy ji, who is a very simple man and inspite of being a minister - he leads a very simple life at Delhi. He has spoken very well on the possibility and prospect of the World Parliament. He was right when he said that the World Parliament - one should not look with a pessimistic view about the formation of a World Parliament. He hoped that in the future the World Parliament could be constituted on the basis of a democratic system where each constituency would be represented by near about 10 million people.

Dear friends, day before yesterday, all these chief justices went to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to offer their respects to our President Shrimati Pratibha Patil and where Shrimati Pratibha Patil has assured that in the next summit in 2008 she would try to attend that particular conference. We convey our thanks to Her Excellency the President of India and I hope that next time the President of India would be here to inaugurate the conference.
Dear friends, I am grateful to the patience of children - those who have given excellent performance yesterday in the evening, in spite of being chilly cold, they have given excellent performance there. How much labour they have put in, I am grateful to them as well, and as well as I convey our thanks to the teachers -- those who have taught the performance they have given yesterday in the evening. I am also grateful to the teachers and all other staff who have done so much labour in organising this conference - a successful one. I don't want to come in between you and the lunch which is waiting for you. With this, I thank everybody who is present here -- the parents, the students, the children and all the delegates who have come from abroad.
Thank you very much. |
