Message to the 8th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World
For the first time addressing as a guest of Honour of this respective international forum to start with allow me to express my sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Conference for invitation.
Our State - the Republic of Belarus, which I have the honor to represent, always demonstrates its commitment to the principles of the international law. Being one of the states-founders of the UNO Belarus always advocates the principles of equity, humanism, freedom. The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus shall secure the supremacy of the universally acknowledged principles of international law and ensure that its laws comply with such principles.
Belarus due to its geographical position in Europe acts as peculiar "bridge" between West and East. Widely known are our strives aimed at the fight against such negative phenomena of the contemporary world as illegal migration, trafficking in human beings, smuggling, international criminality. As an example one can name numerous respective normative acts adopted by the President, Parliament, and Government of my country in this field. The authorities of the country are making all possible efforts in fighting with mentioned phenomena in close cooperation with our trans-border countries partners.
Special attention, and I am thankful for this opportunity to say this words from this honorary tribune, in our state is devoted to the concern for children and youth. There were developed and implemented the state programs aimed at preserving of the children health, support of the young families, families who are raising many children, handicapped children.
Activities of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus, its decisions are aimed at the realization of the rights and freedoms, which are stipulated in the Constitution. These rights are settled in the International Bill of Rights and they are in conformity with the mentality of Belarusians as peaceful, hospitable and hard-working nation.
The given international forum shall act as a consolidating element of the new construction of the world where all the nations will be guided by the joint international world order, based on the high principles of humanism and equity, and the ideas and recommendations, elaborated by its participants, on my deepest conviction, shall be the subject of the thorough examination from the part of the interested bodies and institutions of the most high level.
