I am extremely happy to know that the 3rd International
Conference of Chief Justices of the World on Article 51c
of the Constitution of India with a theme “Enforceable
International Law is the Need of the Hour” is being
organized by CMS, Lucknow from 6th to 8th December 2002.
I am hopeful that this conference will awaken the lawmakers
for enforcing of an International Law to promote international
peace and security. Needless to mention, children are the
most powerful common denominator for all nations to come
together to the peace table in the right frame of mind for
ensuring a peaceful world. I am sure that International
peace and right to a safe future for our children can only
be assured if the judiciary enact “Enforceable International
Law” and in this context the World Judiciary has become
the hope for humanity’s survival.
