THE LUCKNOW DECLARATION

In order to safeguard the future of world's two billion children, we, the participants of the
 
4thINTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF
CHIEF JUSTICES OF THE WORLD
ON ARTICLE 51(C)* OF THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA

held from 12th to 14th December 2003 in Lucknow (INDIA)
 
*ARTICLE 51. Promotion of international peace and security:-
The State shall endeavour to —
(a) promote international peace and security;
(b) maintain just and honourable relations between nations;

(c) foster respect for international law; and
(d) encourage settlement of international disputes by arbitration.

issued on behalf of world's two billion children for constituting a duly elected
World Parliament
for enacting enforceable International Law, as envisaged in
Article 51(c) of the Constitution of India
so that a
New International Political and Economic Order
may emerge and the future of world's children, born and yet-to-be-born, is safeguarded.
